Hello! My name is Jacob. I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and grew up in Southern California. That’s where I discovered my passion for storytelling when I got a digital camera for my 10th birthday. Plus my dad force feeding me his favorite movies. I went on to earn my Bachelor’s in Film and Digital Media from University of California, Santa Cruz, and studied abroad in Italy. After graduation, I found work at a Hollywood production company, where I worked as an intern and creative development assistant. These experiences led me to pursue my MFA in Writing for the Screen at Loyola Marymount University, where I continue developing my voice as a writer and director. Outside of film, I love playing music, sports, going outdoors, and spending time at the beach whenever I can. I’ve also helped build an online creative network, volunteered internationally, and worked on professional projects such as Unstuffed: A Build-A-Bear Story and Glisten and the Merry Mission with Foundation Media Partners.
